Pre-event: Designed to optimise performance by preparing muscle and tissue for hard use, the pre-event sports massage is widely recognised as a powerful way to avoid sport injuries. This massage increases blood flow to the muscles, allowing them to be oxygenated more efficiently.
Tight muscles will be relaxed, enabling better joint flexibility by moving them though their full range of motion. Ideally, this massage should be done approximately 15-45 minutes before exercise.
Post-event: This light, gentle massage helps stressed muscles recover from intense activity by speeding up the removal of exercise by-products and reducing inflamed tissue.
